Tenuta Olim Bauda, Barbera d'Asti La Villa DOCG

£20.00

Tasting Note

Deep, bright ruby with a concentrated nose of cherry and berry fruit. Generous and full-bodied on the palate, with a long, satisfying finish.

Drink it with: salami, tomato-based pasta, or goat's cheese.

The Winemaking

Hand-selected in the first week of October, then fermented in stainless steel with 12 days on the skins, kept below 30°C. Bottled in July and rested a further three months before release. No oak.

The Vineyards

From the family's Bauda vineyard. Farmed organically since 2018 (certified from 2022), with no herbicides. Strict green harvesting and bunch selection mean only fully ripe fruit makes it to the winery.

The Producer

Olim Bauda is a quiet family estate in Piedmont run by siblings Dino, Diana and Gianni. Fresh Barbera d'Asti and pure, delicate Gavi are their speciality, made with a light touch in the cellar.
