Tasting Note
A beautifully poised, fresh and mineral white. Floral, almondy aromas lead to juicy pear and melon on the palate.
Drink it with: shellfish, grilled fish, risotto, white meats or mature cheeses.
The Winemaking
Gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel at 16°C for 10–12 days. No malolactic and no oak; it rests in tank for four months before bottling.
The Vineyards
Hand-harvested Trebbiano di Lugana from vines around 30 years old, on clay and chalk soils near Lake Garda at 60–80 metres.
The Producer
The Biscardo family have made wine around Verona for over 150 years, bottling under their own name since 1900. Brothers Maurizio and Martino now run things, and their wines are known for drinkability, aromatic purity and value.
