Tasting Note
White flowers, orange blossom, citrus and roasted almonds, then stone fruit, peach and sweet citrus on the palate. Complex, with good body; lovely young but will age.
Drink it with: Mediterranean dishes, fish stews, grilled fish or a seafood fideuà.
The Winemaking
Hand-picked into small boxes and cold-soaked at 2°C for three days. Half ferments in steel, half in old French barrels, then six months on the lees in French oak.
The Vineyards
Biodynamically farmed old vines at the Las Brunas estate, following the lunar calendar.
The Producer
Bruno Murciano spent around 20 years as an award-winning sommelier before buying the Las Brunas estate in his home town of Caudete de las Fuentes in 2010: six hectares of old vines and two of forest. He makes the wines with his brother José Luis, mostly from Bobal and other local Valencian grapes, farming biodynamically and keeping cellar work to a minimum.
