Tasting Note
An intensely aromatic Marlborough Sauvignon: grapefruit, passionfruit, lime and a hint of ginger. Crisp and textured on the palate, with lime cordial, grapefruit and lychee, and a long, intense finish.
Drink it with: grilled fish, Asian-style seafood, or a Thai curry.
The Winemaking
Fermented cool in stainless steel with natural yeasts, so the single site does the talking. No oak.
The Vineyards
All the fruit comes from the Kerseley estate vineyard at Dillons Point, about half a mile from the sea. Vines planted between 1991 and 2008, on a VSP trellis.
The Producer
Kukupa is a single-vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the Kerseley estate, a coastal site at Dillons Point in the lower Wairau.
