Tasting Note
Straw yellow with green glints. Citrus, peach and tropical fruit with floral notes, then a full-bodied, well-structured palate and a long finish.
Drink it with: seafood, shellfish, fritto misto or calamari, salads and cheeses.
The Winemaking
Destemmed and crushed, chilled on the skins, gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel. No oak.
The Vineyards
Certified organic Pecorino from the Tullum area, replanted in 2013.
The Producer
Feudo Antico sits in Tullum, Italy's smallest DOP, in Abruzzo. Fifteen hectares of native varieties are farmed for low yields, and the cellar uses no wood at all, only amphora, concrete and glass, to keep the fruit pure. When replanting Pecorino in 2013, they uncovered the ruins of a Roman villa.
