Tasting Note
A light, crunchy red built for chilling. Fresh-picked strawberries and sun-ripened cherries on the nose, then a light, lively, crunchy palate that's dangerously easy to drink. Think of it as the red for people who usually drink rosé.
Drink it with: pizza, duck breast, mushroom risotto, roasted vegetables or poached salmon.
The Winemaking
Grenache Noir (70%) co-fermented with white Macabeo and a little Grenache Gris. Destemmed and macerated for just 36 hours before the juice is drawn off to finish fermenting, giving that light colour and juicy freshness. No oak.
The Vineyards
The southern and central Agly Valley, on heat-holding black schist. Hand-harvested, with a dry Mediterranean climate keeping yields low and fruit vibrant.
The Producer
Felicette is part of Terres Fidèles, a small-batch, old-vine project across south-west France led by Fergal Tynan MW, working with growers who respect their land.
