Tasting Note
Grenache Blanc is one of the south of France's unsung heroes, and this is a joy. Mint, pear, dried apricot and white flowers on the nose. Fresh on the palate, with a little mango and spice, finishing on a crisp twist of lime zest. Unoaked, textured and very good value.
Drink it with: salads, shellfish, grilled fish, or chicken in a creamy sauce.
The Winemaking
A period of cold skin contact, then pneumatic pressing with free-run and press juice kept separate. The juice is cold-settled and rested on fine lees with stirring for richness, then racked off to stop malolactic so it stays fresh. No oak.
The Vineyards
Around 25-year-old vines on clay-limestone between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, where Mediterranean warmth meets Atlantic freshness.
The Producer
Felicette is part of Terres Fidèles, a small-batch, old-vine project across south-west France led by Fergal Tynan MW, working with growers who respect their land.
